Sponsoring a Child doesn’t just provide a child with an education, but through the schools, children are also able to get at least 1 healthy meal a day and receive medical care. We hope to connect some of our friends here in the US with these children so they could stay with their families and have their basic needs met.
During the week we outreach to rural villages in Northern Uganda to show people the love of Christ while enabling and empowering them to keep their families healthy and safe, by teaching basic health care and farming techniques to the community.
Wildfire launched a self-sustaining vocational program for widows in the Njeru slum by creating handmade jewelry from recycled magazine paper, which are sold in the United States. Because of their new jobs, these women have been able to turn away from jobs such as prostitution, alcohol brewing, and trash picking.
